I’m so thrilled to report that after YOUR VOTES, the home office I designed for the #Edesigntribe #EDesign Challenge WON 2nd place!!! This contest was solely decided by the number of votes each finalist received. What this means is YOU ARE AWESOME. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to vote, and I am VERY excited that the winnings are a course in levelling-up my skill set so I can offer my interior design services to you virtually.

If you are ZOOMING a lot these days, (and who isn’t), this might peak your interest if your home life is anything like mine. Between piles of laundry and piles of toys and piles of fabric and piles of cardboard boxes fresh off the stoop (you get the idea), it is hard to find a non-anxiety-inducing background to Zoom from on MOST days. (Especially because my studio/workspace happens to look a lot like a factory). If you don’t want every Zoom call to send you into a tailspin of ‘I NEED TO CALL MY HOUSEKEEPER, IMMEDIATELY!’ trauma, then you may want to consider what we call our ‘IN THE BOOM-BOOM ZOOM-ROOM‘ options. These Virtual Zoom Rooms are a MAJOR step-up from the virtual backgrounds Zoom offers. I mean, c’mon… we all know that if you were actually sitting directly under that palm tree right now, your internet connection probably wouldn’t support that zoom. You may, however, be in a private suite or a gorgeous office, working from a very commanding executive desk, with an incredible wall full of windows behind you. Kinda like HERE.

Downloading a virtual DESIGNER ZOOM ROOM allows you to maintain your privacy and save some embarrassment when your WFH (Work From Home) space is definitely NOT living its best life. FUN FACT: ‘IN THE BOOM BOOM ROOM’ is a play by David Rabe that ran on Broadway in 1973 starring Madelaine Kahn and directed by Joseph Papp. The production was nominated for 3 Tony awards; Tony Award for Best Play, Best Actress in a Play, (Kahn) and (Best Lighting Design, Play or Musical). In this play the Boom Boom Room is a sleazy nightclub, which would certainly make for a very interesting Zoom Room!
